You’ll probably have to wait in line for a bit or even a bit longer since it’s a popular restaurant amongst locals. But It’s worth it!

Also, when I went there with my friend, even though they were full and busy, the staff was super friendly and took their time to explain everything!

Food & Drink Menu

Kyuyam-tei Shimokita-sou is specialized on Keema Curry.  They offer different types of curry like for example “Goya Millet Chicken Keema” or “Super Spicy Lemon Beef Keema”.

The lunch set is a portion of rice nicely arranged with 2 or 3 different types of curry and costs about ¥1,100 ~ ¥1,500.

They also have some delicious and spicy drinks like Masala Chai, Cardamom Chai, and Lassi.

One of the best things is that the menu is highly customizable. You can choose the type of rice you want (white, brown, Jasmine) and you can order extra toppings.

Also, the menu changes regularly, so you can always try new curry varieties.

Alex (RockinJapan)

Hey. I'm Alex. I've been living in Japan since 2015. Before moving to Tokyo, I traveled through Japan for 7 months to visit all 47 prefectures. Traveling and staying in Japan has been so much fun and such an incredible experience that I decided to write about it. I noticed there isn't a lot of information about hot springs and onsen towns in Japan, so I'm focusing on this topic. Hopefully, my articles will help you to get the most out of your trip and to fully enjoy your time in Japan! Alex
