The World of Mercy

Official Translation

The World of Mercy

Who knows? My true self My true soul
Who sees? My true self I vomit my gouged heart
Can I join you?

As we’re being intimate Melting together
The eyes glaze over in white

Who knows? My true self My true soul
Who sees? My true self I vomit my gouged heart
Can I join you?

Holding hands to bring the world together
Let’s rot in the unforeseen future

The more I become intimate
The more loneliness helps me see
The clown danced like crazy and Made it bloom
The flower was indeed very very beautiful
The game of life
The game

The censored world
The world you live in
Yeah Turn a blind eye
That’s you
Pulling up the corners of your mouth
And engaging in group violence to feel alive
The world of coercion

The World of Mercy
Hypocrisy

The hand entangled in compassion
I break free and stomp on it as I taint

Holding hands to bring the world together
Let’s rot in the unforeseen future

Being born in freedom
Being enslaved in freedom
In this world

Welcome to the corpse
The time has come to change

I don’t care if I look like a fool
Bleed
You are alive
Find your freedom

The World of Mercy

My English Lyrics Translation

The World of Mercy

Who knows it? My true self My true soul
Who sees it? My true self Vomiting its gouged heart
Won’t you let me in?

The intercourse just now As we are melting together
The eyes turn into a sullied white

Who knows it? My true self My true soul
Who sees it? My true self Vomiting its gouged heart
Won’t you let me in?

In the world where we grasp and hold hands
In this obscure world to come
Let’s go bad

All the way to the intercourse’s climax The emptiness
Lets me realize my self
The clown dancing in ecstasy I got to bloom
Oh my goodness what a beautiful blossom
The amusement portraying one’s life is
Amusement

The censored world
The world you’re living in
Right Turn a blind eye on it
That’s you!
Curling your mouth and
Feeling alive because of group abuse
The world of compulsion

The World of Mercy
Hypocrisy

The hand entangled in passion
Breaks free trampling it down and becomes sullied

In the world where we grasp and hold hands
In this obscure world to come
Let’s go bad

The life that was born in freedom
Is dominated by freedom
In this world

Welcome to the dead body
The time has come to change

It’s okay to be awkward
Shed blood
You’re alive
Seek your freedom

The World of Mercy

Translation Notes

仲間に入れて?
Won’t you let me in?

仲間に入れて (nakama ni irete) actually means “take (me) into the circle” or “add (me) as a friend“. However, in occcordance to the ambiguity of the rest of the lyrics I decided to use “let (me) in“.

交わる今 溶け合いながら
瞳の奥が白く濁る
The intercourse now As we are melting together
The eyes turn into a sullied white

交わる (majiwaru) means “to associate, to mingle, etc.”, but also “to have a sexual relationship”.

瞳の奥 (hitomi no oku) literally translates as “the inner of the eye(s)“, but it can also just mean “eye(s)“. And 濁る (nigoru) means “to become dull/muddy” or “(a heart, society, etc.) becomes impure”

An important side note: hitomi written as 人身 (hitomi) means “the human body; one’s person”. So it can also be interpreted as “a person’s inside becomes sullied/impure”. I have also seen translations of 奥 (oku) as heart.

手を取って繋ぐ世界
まだ見ぬ未来で
腐ろう
In the world where we grasp and hold hands
In this obscure world to come
Let’s go bad

世界 (sekai) also translates as “society“.

I usually translate 未来 (mirai) as “future” but decided to go with “world to come” so that I have the word “world” twice – same as in the next, next verse.

腐ろう (kusarou) means “to rot / to go bad” but also “to be corrupt“.

交わる程 虚しさは
All the way to the intercourse’s climax The emptiness

交わる程 (majiwaru hodo) actually means “to the point of mingling” or “(to the) extent of mingling“. I decided to use climax, because well…
(。v⌒‐⌒v。)

ピエロは踊り狂い 咲かせた
それはそれはとても綺麗な華
命を描いた遊戯
The clown dancing in ecstasy I got to bloom
Oh my goodness what a beautiful blossom
The amusement portraying life is

咲かせた (sakaseta) is “made bloom” and (hana) means “flower, blossom, blossoming, bloom“.

However, sakaseta as 裂かせた (sakaseta) or 割かせた (sakaseta) means “has been ripped up / torn to pieces / cut open” or “has been forcibly separated (e.g. two lovers, friends, etc.)”.

And hana written as 端 (hana) also means “end”

Beautifully written!
( ˇωˇ )♪

遊戯 (yuugi) means “game, play, sports“. Any type of amusement.

モザイクかけられた世界
お前らの生きてる世界
The censored world
The world you’re living in

モザイクかけられた (mozaiku kakerareta) literally translates as “pixelated“. It’s used for pixelated aka censored images, etc.

お前ら (omaera) means “you” in a derogatory way.

情に絡み付いた手を
振り解き踏み付けて濁る
The hand entangled in passion
Breaks free trampling it down and becomes sullied

手を振り解く (te o furihodoku) means “free one’s hand from a grip

自由の中で飼われて行く
Is dominated by freedom

飼われて (kawarete) means “being kept as a pet“. However, kawarete written as 変われて means “being changed”.

死骸へようこそ
Welcome to the dead body

死骸 (shigai) means “corpse, remains, dead body“. Shigai written as 市外 means “suburbs” and writtten as 市街 it means “the streets, town”.

無様でも良い
血を流せ
It’s okay to be awkward
Shed blood

無様 (buzama) also translates as “unshapely, unsightly, unpresentable“.

It’s maybe too much reading in between the lines, but chi written as 針 means “stinger, thorn, malice” and written as 痴 it means “foolishness, ignorance”. 無 (muchi) also means ignorance while 流せ (nagase) also means to “wash away”.

Alex (RockinJapan)

Hey. I'm Alex. I've been living in Japan since 2015. Before moving to Tokyo, I traveled through Japan for 7 months to visit all 47 prefectures. Traveling and staying in Japan has been so much fun and such an incredible experience that I decided to write about it. I noticed there isn't a lot of information about hot springs and onsen towns in Japan, so I'm focusing on this topic. Hopefully, my articles will help you to get the most out of your trip and to fully enjoy your time in Japan! Alex
