Lyrics in Kanji

Byakushi Chou
Lyrics in English

The White Butterflies of Death

「Tracing a never-ending spiral」
Inside the cradle the fate that I gazed at
Has been repeating My stained soul
Keeps following The path of rebirth

Changing its shape Something ascents towards the sky
And something returns to the sea
Slumbering deeply At the time when I awake from my dream
This blood can’t recall anything

The countless Promises we made
Without realizing it the things and my fading consciousness are sweeping away

The memories of reincarnating start revolving
Softly softly
Swaying swaying
Overlapping this cruel morning

The changing seasons start revolving
Swiftly swiftly
Sparkling sparkling
At the place, I stayed with you The butterflies flutter

The burned down heart The smoldering memories
Are taken away with the wind When it comes to the end
The emotions are overflowing

Drops running down Along my cheeks
Swaying shaking
Dropping dropping
But I don’t even realize the meaning behind spilling them

The changing seasons start revolving
Swiftly swiftly
Sparkling sparkling
At the place, I stayed with you The butterflies flutter

The memories of reincarnating start revolving
Softly softly
Swaying swaying
Overlapping this cruel morning

The changing seasons start revolving
Swiftly swiftly
Sparkling sparkling
At the place, I stayed with you The butterflies flutter

Still without memories

Notes

  • Yurikago no naka de mitsumeta unmei: Here Aki sings “Yurikago no naka de mitsumeta sadame” instead of “unmei“. Both words mean destiny or fate. However, sadame can also mean karma, decision, or appointment.
  • Saisei no kiseki Tadotteiku: Instead of “tadotteiku” Aki sings “tadotteyuku“. It means the same but “yuku” sounds a bit more poetic, I guess.
  • Utsuru ishiki mo sarawareteiku koto mo shirazu ni: Same here he sings “sarawareteyuku” instead of “sarawareteiku“.

Alex (RockinJapan)

Hey. I'm Alex. I've been living in Japan since 2015. Before moving to Tokyo, I traveled through Japan for 7 months to visit all 47 prefectures. Traveling and staying in Japan has been so much fun and such an incredible experience that I decided to write about it. I noticed there isn't a lot of information about hot springs and onsen towns in Japan, so I'm focusing on this topic. Hopefully, my articles will help you to get the most out of your trip and to fully enjoy your time in Japan! Alex
